History of Holland Lops
You may be wondering how Holland Lop rabbits were created? Back in the 1960’s they were bred into existence, thanks to Dutch rabbit breeder Adriann de Cock. His mission was to create a pint-sized version of the French Lop rabbit. To achieve this, he orchestrated a cross between a hefty French Lop buck and a petite Netherland Dwarf doe. However, this initial mix didn’t work. So further experimentation he used a French Lop Doe and a Netherland Dwarf buck and that was the beginning of the most popular rabbit breed in America – the beloved Holland Lop.
